Sheetrock pattern

The truss manufacturer said the trusses were rated for steel 29 gauge panels and blown in insulation, at .65 lbs per square foot for 29 gauge versus 1.28lbs. per square foot for ultra light sheetrock.I’m tempted to roll the dice and go with sheet rock as it would only add 780 lbs of total load to the trusses.

This works well so long as you get the mud consistency correct. Once the mud starts to dry and thicken, stop! Clean the roller with warm water immediately and mix a new batch of mud. If you let the mud dry to much and thicken you will no longer get the pattern, but will instead end up dragging the roller across the ceiling. Drywall texture sprayers come in many different brands, shapes, and sizes. They generally consist of a hopper which holds texture material, a powerful pump to move the material, an air compressor to mix air with the material, hoses, and specialized nozzle. Screw distances, for the most part, determine the pattern. However, for edge screws, you may wish to try to set up your distances so that screws on adjoining panels are staggered on a shared stud. This reduces the possibility of having two crumbled drywall edges in the same spot. Alibaba.com offers 149 patterned drywall products. About 12% of these are plasterboards, 1% are screws, and 1% are metal building materials. A wide variety of patterned drywall options are available to you, such as paperbacked plasterboards, decorative plasterboards, and perforated plasterboards.

Spraying an average-size room takes less than 10 minutes. Hold the gun about 18 in. from the ceiling and work in blocks about 3 ft. square. When spraying texture onto a white ceiling, it’s easy to skip some areas and overdo others. For consistent ceiling textures coverage, work across the room in a 3 x 3-ft. grid pattern.
